Snapdeal further extended its service offerings when it announced its partnership with BookMyShow recently. Customers can now book tickets for movies on Snapdeal.
The online retailer also provides services such as flight and bus ticket bookings, hotel reservations, personal services and food ordering.
In a statement, Tony Navin, who is the senior vice president of Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives, Snapdeal, said, “Snapdeal’s integration with a leading service provider like BookMyShow is another step in this direction. We are confident that the introduction of services on Snapdeal will bring us closer to our goal of 20 million daily transacting users by 2020.”
Snapdeal customers have not been too happy lately after it tweaked its return policy, which stated that a buyer needs to furnish a document from the brand’s authorised service centre within seven days, and only then will a return request be processed.
Between Snapdeal, Amazon India and Flipkart, returning an electronic item isn’t easy any more.
Marzdi Kalianiwala, the BookMyShow vice president of Marketing and Business Intelligence, said that this association with Snapdeal will allow its users to meet their movie ticketing needs without having to leave the platform.
BookMyShow’s e-ticket booking service can also be accessed through Snapdeal’s app as well.
Snapdeal has also reduced the marketing fees for over 120 sub-categories recently, which includes digital products, electronics, women’s fashion, FMCG products, as part of its policies to attract more sellers to its platform. The changes have been incorporated on the basis of the feedback received from sellers and will be effective from this week, a company statement said.
