Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Is Finally Launching in India — Here’s What You Need to Know

Global pop sensation and beauty mogul Rihanna is set to make waves in India’s beauty industry as her iconic brand, Fenty Beauty, officially debuts on August 7, 2025, via Tira and Sephora India. After years of Indian beauty enthusiasts relying on overseas sellers and limited cross-border listings, Fenty Beauty’s entry marks a highly anticipated milestone for Indian consumers eager to access the brand’s full range of products.

The announcement was made through a playful Instagram reel, featuring a quintessential Mumbai black-and-yellow taxi with “FB ❤️ INDIA” emblazoned on its rear windshield — a creative nod to the brand’s long-awaited arrival.

While this marks Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty’s formal retail launch in India, the brand already enjoys a cult following. Until now, Indian shoppers accessed Fenty Beauty products through unofficial channels or via Nykaa’s Global Store, which offered a restricted selection of items. The official tie-up with Tira and Sephora will finally provide Indian consumers full-fledged access to Fenty’s revolutionary beauty lineup.

Speculations about Rihanna’s business ties with Reliance Retail intensified after her performance at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations in 2023. Now, with Fenty Beauty launching on Reliance’s Tira platform, the collaboration between the global superstar and India’s retail giant is cemented.

Tira, spearheaded by Isha Ambani, is Reliance Retail’s ambitious multi-brand beauty venture, often seen as a challenger to Nykaa’s dominance. By bringing Fenty Beauty into its portfolio, Tira aims to position itself as the go-to destination for premium and inclusive beauty brands in India. The launch will also bolster Sephora India’s offerings, as Reliance holds franchise rights for Sephora’s operations in the country.

“Fenty Beauty’s iconic and inclusive range aligns perfectly with our vision to redefine India’s beauty experience,” Isha Ambani said in a statement. “This launch signifies our commitment to making global brands accessible to Indian consumers.”

Since its inception in 2017, Fenty Beauty has disrupted the global beauty landscape with its groundbreaking foundation range, offering over 50 shades to cater to diverse skin tones. Fenty Skin, launched in 2020, follows a similar inclusive philosophy with vegan and clean skincare products. Both brands are being distributed in India by Singapore-based Luxasia.

Sephora Global President and CEO Guillaume Motte emphasized the importance of expanding Fenty’s global reach to India. “Fenty Beauty’s celebration of diversity and self-expression mirrors Sephora’s mission of delivering an inclusive beauty experience worldwide.”

While detailed product pricing and promotional campaigns are yet to be revealed, beauty experts expect a high-impact launch with pop-up experiences, influencer collaborations, and digital activations across Tira and Sephora’s omnichannel platforms.

With India’s beauty market witnessing exponential growth, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty debut is poised to redefine industry standards, setting new benchmarks in inclusivity and innovation.
