Solderhave been creating waves in the independent music scene with their unique brand of liveliness, and will be headlining the show. With performances at GoMad and Storm and their debut album in the pipeline, these guys are an act to watch out for. Check out our piece on Storm Festival here.
All The Fat Children will be co-headlining. Mixing niche genres with alternative rock to produce a style that they have christened ‘Fat Rock’,their singer Eben Johnson has also made his debut as a playback singer in the Malayalam film industry. All The Fat Children will be co-headlining the show.
‘We had struggled to make Insurrection progress from a dream to a reality and to our utter dismay and delight, it has grown to be a benchmark for heavy metal excellence in the underground scene. We are all fans of Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Beatles and some of the more recent alternative stuff by Soundgarden and Nirvana who were equally revolutionary in their own way and would like to introduce the kind of music that these legends popularized back in the day to a generation that postdates them by a few decades’ says Sangeeth Ram, founder/CEO of Sound Awake.
The remaining acts that will be performing for the night are:
White Mug – rock ‘n’ roll. Their strain of merry hard rock takes you back to the hippie era.
The News – funk rock. On a hiatus, this will be a comeback gig for the soft rock troupe.
Hard Enough– dirty rock ‘n’ roll blues. Expect some raw and scratchy blues.
Pinch– indie experimental. A young band coming up with the most innovative original.
Stuck In November– post rock. Fresh from a two year break, these guys promise to be a good watch.
This being a comeback gig for The News and Stuck in November, it is likely to bring out some of the best in the music scene. Poster designed by Realm Studios.
The event place will take place on 4 May at The Humming Tree, Indiranagar at 4:00 pm. Tickets will be priced at Rs.300. Art work and customized items will be sold by a host of art vendors.
