Ooty ready to goMAD

goMAD festival is all set to happen. Finally! Originally scheduled for April, and then May, it will now be held from October 25th. Set among the serene wilderness of the Nilgiris, this out-door camping venue has already played host to several hard-core local acts and has raised the bar for the new wave of out-city music festivals. From Raagasthan to Ziro to Storm, goMAD follows this same formula to produce an out of the box multi-disciplinary experience.

Set at the vast and sprawling Fernhill Palace, 36 hours of dancing under the moonlight and rocking out will cleanse the most disturbed soul. The palace will play host to an array of activities. The drum circle, food areas, flea market/ bazaars and of course live stages will all be there for the music fan to have a great time.

With hardcore acts like Parikrama, and Agam playing, there are also many local favs like Live Banned, Soulmate, Parvaaz, Lagori, Chronic Blues Circus and Bombay Bassment. Interestingly, many new or upcoming bands like Sky Rabbit, The F16’s, The Down Troddence and Clown With A Frown have also been picked for the bill.  With some international acts like Australian Luke Jon Shearer and Noori from Pakistan, the lineup is sorted. A music fan could ask for no more.
