Knowlarity appointed Ajay Shrivastava as CTO, formerly OYO Rooms’ technology head

Knowlarity, a cloud-telephony company, appointed Ajay Shrivastava as chief technology officer (CTO) prior to which he served as head of technology as OYO Rooms.

Shirvastava comes with experience of over a decade in technology products. He has previously worked with companies such as Intel, Adobe, Microsoft, Expedia, Linkedin and SlideShare and will be looking into engineering and product development at Knowlarity.

According to Shirvastava, while his primary job will be the products and engineering team he will also be focused on enhancing customer experience – as will the rest of the company. “It is important for B2B (business-to-business) companies to focus on customer experience as done in consumer-facing businesses. This is extremely important for brand pull,” he said in a report by ET.

Along with improving customer experience, the company will also be working on improving its current offerings and better interface.

Meanwhile, Ambrish Gupta, Knowlarity’s chief executive, says that they plan to leverage Shrivastava’s knowledge and experience to make tech the ‘fulcrum of Knowlarity’s operations’.

Knowlarity’s former CTO was Bipul Parua, who worked with the company for about six years. His successor, Shrivastava is an IIT-Bangalore graduate and was part of the team that helped OYO grow its technology manpower grow from four to 200 cities.
