Nand Ghar Illuminates the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival with Cultural Diversity and Social Impact Initiatives

In a vibrant display of commitment to India’s rich cultural tapestry and social progress, Nand Ghar, the flagship project of Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), is set to shine as the ‘Social Impact Partner’ at the prestigious Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024. This collaboration aims to not only celebrate the country’s cultural diversity but also underscore the transformative social impact initiatives, particularly focusing on rural women and children.

Nand Ghar, primarily recognized for its dedication to early childhood education, health, and nutrition accessibility, is stepping beyond its core mission. At the heart of the festival, it aspires to infuse the colors and traditions of Rajasthan, emphasizing the importance of inclusive development for women and local artisans. The foundation, through Nand Ghar, has been instrumental in uplifting lives in the state and beyond by fostering self-help groups and creating opportunities for holistic development.

As a highlight of this collaboration, AAF introduces the Nand Ghar Bagaan, a dynamic and culturally vibrant experience center at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival. This unique space will serve as a focal point for celebrating India’s cultural diversity through specially curated activities. The Nand Ghar Bagaan is designed not only to showcase rural life but also to engage festival-goers in cultural performances, local delicacies, crafts, and skill development workshops.

Nand Ghar, known for its innovative Anganwadis, which function as dual-purpose centers, providing preschool education for children in the morning and skill development programs for women in the afternoon, will bring its skilling initiatives to life at the festival. Workshops on Candle Making, Block Printing, Puppetry, Bandhani & Tie-Dye, Book-Mark & Painting, Khartal Playing, and Safa Turban Tying will offer participants hands-on experiences, fostering an appreciation for traditional crafts and skills. Additionally, the Nand Ghar Bagaan will promote Women’s Self-Help Groups by featuring a Cooking Workshop showcasing indigenous recipes like millet laddoos and displaying products crafted by these groups.

Ms. Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson, Hindustan Zinc Ltd & Non-Executive Director, Vedanta Ltd, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Through this partnership, we aim to create awareness around the significance of skilling, nutrition, and grassroots-level healthcare in the journey towards a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Our dream at AAF is to transform the 14 lakh Anganwadis across the country into Nand Ghars. With over 5800+ centers in 14 states across India, Nand Ghar has already impacted the lives of more than 2.25 lakh children and empowered over 1.7 lakh women. We aspire to build partnerships and establish a sustainable and modern network of Anganwadis in India.”

The Nand Ghar Bagaan will feature captivating performances by Kalbelia dancers, local bands, henna painting, and more. It will also host a series of sessions aligned with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Fest lineup, covering themes such as mythology, wellness, communication strategy, and the benefits of indigenous food.

For an immersive experience, visitors can join the festivities at Jaipur’s Hotel Clarks Amer from 1st – 5th February 2024, witnessing the fusion of literature, culture, and social impact.
