Bangalore Gets a New Dance Music Festival

EDM revellers of Bangalore now have no reason to scurry to the shores of Goa to catch a music festival when they can get a wide array of dance music in their own city courtesy Nikhil Chinapa and Bangalore-based RJ Rohit Barker. A new festival titled Cirkus Indigo, which is slated to take place at the Jayamahal Palace on March 1 and 2, is a two-day shindig that will bring together international EDM artistes to play at stages embellished by 3D installations.

The festival will take place in partnership with ARK Events and has an obvious propensity towards indulging in a sensory trait. Perhaps a lesson or two is being learnt from Canadian producer Deadmau’s style – offer dance music along with titillating visuals. Apart from the music acts, interactive game zones and flea markets will dot the venue.

French DJ-producer Norman Doray (who opened for David Guetta’s UK tour in 2011), Dutch progressive house DJ-producer Justin Prime, and Italian house music collective Daddy’s Groove are few of the names filling the list of performers.
