Drake has finally put a date on his mysterious new project of 2026 after the roaring success of theIceman led Triple Album, but the rapper is still refusing to tell fans exactly what “FOMO” is.
The 6 God announced Thursday that “Fear of Missing Out” will premiere on YouTube on September 15 at 9 p.m. ET, turning weeks of cryptic posts, family photos, CD artwork and fan theories into one giant countdown.
There is now a date.
There is a title.
There is a YouTube premiere.
But there is still no definitive answer about what Drake is actually releasing.

Drake’s latest announcement arrived through a stark black-and-white graphic carrying the message “SEPT 15 YOUTUBE 9PM”, accompanied by island and Ferris wheel emojis.

Last month, Drake posted photographs featuring members of his family alongside the caption “FOMO 2026.” About two weeks later, he escalated the mystery by sharing an image resembling a CD jewel case bearing the title “Fear of Missing Out.”
Naturally, fans immediately began trying to decode it.
Could FOMO be an album? A visual project? A documentary? A tour announcement? Or something completely different?
Drake still hasn’t said.
Could FOMO Be Drake’s Next Music Project?
The biggest theory is that FOMO could be connected to new music.
Drake has already been extraordinarily active during 2026, with ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR all part of his current creative run. That has opened the door to speculation that FOMO could represent yet another major release.
There are also some intriguing breadcrumbs.
Producers London Cyr and B4uuuuuuuuu have reposted material connected to the FOMO rollout. London Cyr previously worked on “Plot Twist” from ICEMAN, while B4uuuuuuuuu has been closely associated with Drake’s 2026 creative output.
Their involvement doesn’t confirm new music, but it has given fans another reason to scrutinize every detail.
That Ferris Wheel Emoji Has Fans Digging for Clues
Then there’s the Ferris wheel.
Drake was recently spotted filming at the Canadian National Exhibition, reportedly wearing an Iron Man suit near a Ferris wheel. Now, one of the same visual clues appears alongside his September 15 announcement.
That coincidence has sent online speculation into overdrive.
Fans are increasingly connecting the dots between Drake’s recent filming activity, the FOMO artwork and the upcoming YouTube premiere. Some believe the September event could unveil a major visual production accompanied by new music.

Earlier this week, Drake also made a surprise appearance during Don Toliver’s Toronto concert, performing tracks from ICEMAN live for the first time.
Drake thanked Toliver for bringing him onto the stage and told the Toronto crowd that it was his first time performing the album since its release.
That appearance has inevitably become part of the FOMO conspiracy board.
