The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has awarded a high-value contract worth ₹17.16 crore to SoftTech Engineers Limited, marking a significant step toward digital transformation in India’s airport infrastructure development. The project involves the deployment of an advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM)-based Project Monitoring System (BPMS) to digitally track and manage infrastructure projects across the country.

The move reflects AAI’s growing focus on technology-led governance, transparency and efficiency in executing large-scale public infrastructure programs.

BIM-Based System to Enable Real-Time Project Oversight

Under the contract, SoftTech Engineers will implement a comprehensive digital platform designed to support real-time monitoring throughout the planning, execution and reporting stages of airport projects. The BPMS will provide enhanced visibility into complex construction workflows, enabling stakeholders to monitor progress, manage risks and make data-driven decisions across the project lifecycle.

By integrating multiple project functions into a single system, the platform aims to reduce delays, improve coordination and strengthen accountability among all participating agencies.
