KOOK Achieves 10x Revenue Growth in 12 Months

KOOK, a fast-growing brand in the Ready-to-Cook meal kit industry, has reported an increase in monthly revenue, rising from ₹5 lakh to ₹50 lakh over the past year. This growth seems to underscore a significant shift in consumer preferences as more Indians turn to convenient, high-quality home dining solutions.




KOOK’s success has been fueled by Pluckk’s acquisition of KOOK last year in a deal valued at $1.3 million. Leveraging Pluckk’s extensive farm-to-fork network, KOOK has strengthened its supply chain and expanded its reach through direct-to-consumer (D2C), quick commerce (QCom), and offline distribution channels. This strategic integration has allowed KOOK to tap into a more extensive customer base and streamline operations, especially in metropolitan areas.

A major factor contributing to KOOK’s growth has been its partnerships with leading platforms like Instamart, Zepto, and Blinkit, which have resulted in a 300% increase in market penetration. These collaborations have made KOOK’s meal kits more accessible, driving further revenue growth.

KOOK has also expanded its product range from 10 to over 50 SKUs, offering various Ready-to-Cook options such as soups, smoothies, oats, and more. New products like Ramen, Sushi, and Breakfast kits (including Overnight Oats and Smoothies) cater to consumers seeking convenience without compromising quality. This product diversification has led to a 15X increase in monthly units sold.

Nikhil Thatai, Co-founder and Head of Supply Chain Operations at KOOK, highlighted the brand’s vision: “Our tenfold revenue growth reflects our ability to meet the evolving demands of Indian consumers. With 250 dark stores in each city and plans for 4X growth this year, KOOK is poised to dominate India’s Ready-to-Cook market.”

Co-founder Arpitta Jerath added, “Our goal is to make cooking a joy. With our diverse range of meal kits, we offer taste, convenience, and variety, allowing customers to enjoy preparing meals with minimal effort.”

KOOK’s meal kits are available on platforms like Swiggy, Zepto, and Nature’s Basket. The company plans to expand into new markets and introduce more fresh, preservative-free products.
