Panda Uprising

A relatively new name on the circuit, producer Ankur Chauhan and brainchild of the electronic moniker When Pandas Attack is steadily making waves in the national electronic scene. Having already made a popular Sandunes remix and an interesting Tuna melt Mixtape, When Pandas Attack has an array of interesting tracks on SoundCloud ranging from hip-hop to drum and bass. Performing on guitars with the nu-jazz act Not For Sale, Chauhan’s electronic recent side-project is also now gaining serious national recognition. Featured on Sandunes’ album Ever Bridge reworked, When Pandas Attack brainchild Ankur has even provided the artwork for album cover.

Another remix of the song “Love is Rare” by Tom Day & Moonsiren has become immensely popular online as a groovier version of the original track. As part of a new wave of electronic music in the country that includes the likes of Dualist Inquiry, and artists from Krunk, When Pandas Attack is poised perfectly to bring out some killer new grooves to an eagerly awaiting audience.
