Earlier last month, Indian Ocean had given us a small preview of what their upcoming album Tandanu was about. On the occasion of their 25th anniversary, one of the country’s most popular folk fusion bands is out with the first episode of their seven-track album Tandanu. This album, which is their 7th offering after classics like 16/330 Khajoor Road, Kandisa, and Jhini among others, will release one single at a time as short episodes charting the journey of the making of the songs, filmed by documentary filmmaker Spandan Banerjee. Each of the seven tracks collaborates with veteran musicians of the order of Shankar Mahadevan, Asian underground producer Karsh Kale and others. For their first release “Gar Ho Sake Toh”, which premiered on Pepsi MTV Indies on April 26, the band collaborated with classical maestroShubha Mudgal on vocals.
