Kanye West Says He Misses Pusha T’s Friendship After Clipse Diss: Could a G.O.O.D. Music Reunion Be Possible?
Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, is opening up about one of the most significant creative fallouts of his career. On Friday, May 30, Ye took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express nostalgia over his relationship with Pusha T, following a pointed name-drop on the new Clipse single, “Ace Trumpets.”
“I miss me and Pusha’s friendship,” Ye posted simply—yet impactfully—on X.
The track in question, “Ace Trumpets,” is the lead single from Clipse’s upcoming album Let God Sort Em Out, slated for release on July 11. The song sees Pusha T taking subliminal shots at Ye with lines like:
“Sold ecstasy and disappeared, I am Whodini / Look at them, him and him, still waitin’ on Yeezy.”
The jab appears to reference Kanye West’s erratic behavior and long-running controversies, particularly after his highly publicized fall from grace due to antisemitic remarks and polarizing political statements. This controversy caused many collaborators, including Pusha T, to cut ties with the rapper and fashion mogul in 2022.

From Brothers in Beats to Creative Differences
Kanye West and Pusha T were once a formidable force in hip-hop. The Virginia-born lyricist joined G.O.O.D. Music in 2010 and rose to an executive role as the label’s president by 2015. Their bond was most creatively visible on Daytona (2018), Pusha’s critically acclaimed album produced entirely by Kanye West. The project earned a Grammy nomination and marked a high point for their partnership.
But things unraveled in 2022. In an interview with XXL, Pusha T distanced himself from Kanye West, openly disavowing his comments and direction.
“It’s wrong. Period,” Push said. “If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it… He’s not well, at the same time. I will say that.”
Their separation wasn’t just professional—it was personal. Pusha T’s decision to leave G.O.O.D. Music and avoiding public association with Kanye West marked the end of an era.
Olive Branch or Last Words?
Kanye West’s recent post suggests he’s feeling reflective, if not remorseful. While he didn’t address the diss directly, the sentiment signals a possible thawing of their frosty relationship.
Whether this public yearning will lead to reconciliation remains uncertain. The Clipse album’s release may further strain—or mend—their bond, depending on how deeply the lyrics dive into Kanye West’s recent controversies.

Fans are already speculating online about a potential G.O.O.D. Music reunion, or at least a conversation between the once-inseparable collaborators.
One thing’s for sure: even in estrangement, Kanye West and Pusha T continue to influence the hip-hop conversation—and each other.
