Lil Wayne Announces Massive ‘Tha Carter VI’ Tour Ahead of Album Drop

Lil Wayne is officially back in album mode. With his highly anticipated album Tha Carter VI set to drop on Friday, June 6, the rap icon has unveiled a 34-date North American Lil Wayne tour to celebrate—and fans are already scrambling for tickets.

The Tha Carter VI Tour kicks off in grand fashion this Friday at Madison Square Garden, marking Wayne’s first solo headlining show at the legendary New York City venue. The rest of the tour resumes on June 30 in Virginia, making stops in major cities including Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, Seattle, Detroit, and West Palm Beach, where the run wraps on October 2.

Adding to the excitement, the tour is shaping up to be a mini Young Money reunion. Fellow label alum Tyga will join Weezy as an opening act, alongside Atlanta rapper Belly Gang Kushington, with NoCap set to appear at select dates. Expect high energy, surprise appearances, and plenty of nostalgia for long-time fans.

Lil Wayne tour tickets are expected to sell out quickly. The artist presale begins Wednesday, June 4, while general ticket sales open Friday at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages will also be available, featuring perks such as premium seats, limited-edition posters, exclusive merchandise, and early venue entry.

Weezy first teased Tha Carter VI during a Super Bowl Cetaphil commercial, building buzz around the mysterious drop. He later confirmed the official release date in April. This marks Lil Wayne’s first solo studio album since 2020’s Funeral, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The last three Carter albums have all topped the charts, and expectations are sky-high for this next installment.

With over two decades in the game, multiple Grammy wins, and a catalog that shaped a generation of hip-hop, Lil Wayne continues to push boundaries. Weezy’s Tha Carter VI is rumoured to blend classic Lil Wayne barsmodern production, and a few surprises along the way, though the full tracklist remains under wraps.

This summer, Wayne fans will get the rare chance to hear the new project live within days of its release. Whether you’re a diehard fan or just there for the hits, this tour promises to be one of the most significant rap events of 2025.
