Rahul Yadav contemplating about giving up entrepreneurship

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ahul Yadav, former Housing CEO has now decided to shut shop, give up on entrepreneurship and to take up a simple job. This news comes almost five months after he announced his comeback startup in Intelligent Interfaces.

“Thinking of giving up on entrepreneurship and do a simple job. Will take a decision by this weekend,” Yadav said in a Facebook post.

RY 1He had apparently started a company called Intelligent Interfaces, which was designed to use data analytics to “streamline processes for the government”. He had claimed he would revolutionise the government functioning.

Intelligent Interfaces had the backing of Flipkart founders Sachin and Binny Bansal and cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Yadav had said in December after Singh came on board, “A 100x company needs a 100x team.”

Then this post comes barely days after Yadav said his second venture had failed to take off. “Intelligent Interfaces (II) for government is not working out. Should I make it for enterprises or come back to real estate.”

Sachin Bansal, while confirming the investment had told media that he was backing Yadav as “he was doing something which is good for the country”.

Yadav is not happy with how the whole thing panned out and he has not minced his words venting his anger out. “Out of all big countries, we’re the last in terms of development and quality of life (please don’t compare with Africa, Bangladesh etc)…Before this country could even start its economic growth, its metro cities have already given up (traffic jams in Bangalore, the odd-even rule in Delhi, Pollution level in metro cities),” Yadav said.

“Forget catching up to US or China…I really don’t know how to deal with stupid people. Be it Housing board members or these journalists. I just don’t”.

Regarding his experience with government, Yadav said in another Facebook post, “Why Intelligent Interfaces is not working out because no government official is willing to take any decision in Delhi. All are afraid that even if they try to do something good, the possibility is that they will be dragged in some sort of favouritism case by this country’s stupid media. Hence, nobody wants to take any call even when they realise it’s a sensible solution.”

This was all in reaction to an Inc42 report, which said that while he valued his company, which did not have any clients at the time, at Rs 170 crore, the report revealed that the IIT dropout had raised only about Rs 3 crore, which he managed to run through within three months. The report further claimed that of the Rs 3 crore, Yadav spent Rs 1.5 crore for a trip to the US.
