Instead of grumbling about having nowhere to go on Facebook or posting selfies of you and your pooch on instagram, here’s our plan to sort you out for partying in Delhi. Several places in town have come up with brilliant night out deals to keep you kickin’ and tide you over, and we check out the scope for you and your party-ready group. The boys might end up grumbling about the injustice of it all, so here’s an idea. Leave them at home. This time, it’s about the paisa vasoolonomics of it all, from all the times you were over-charged and served up shoddy drinks, the universe is paying you back for it. Let it be your destiny to come and claim it back, whether in high heels and shimmery somethings, or the scraggiest clothes you own, because you could not be more bothered about it. It’s time for payback yo!
So Monday is to be a rooftop party, with 100% Rock at Ambience Mall. Their resident DJ promises to belt out a certain Classic Rock electrifying list, and while you’re at it, embrace not paying a penny to party at Ambience. The whole mall is lit up, there is enough music to get you by (and high) and you’ll be partying on a Monday. How’s that for being on top of your game, eh?
Tuesdays are for the hardcore party animals in you as the world opens up with ladies night across the length and breadth of Delhi. Maybe this could be the party hopping night, so make sure you start early. Vapour, Chonas, Lighthouse 13, Route 04, Howzatt, The Gallery Hotel, Striker Pub and Brewery, Fork You, Boombox Cafe, Duck U and counting. Phew. Since most of these places have Ladies Nights between 9 pm to midnight, an excellent chauffeur is a must-have to navigate through those chock-a-block lanes of Delhi and avoid traffic and yes, to stay safe and not end up in a car wreck.
Middle of the week and wham! This is when you warm up to your work hard part-ay harder lifestyle. You can choose between going the old way to party in Blues at Connaught Place, or checking out Iredus’ huge collection of wines in Gurgaon, sip a cocktail next to the best view in Hauz Khas Village at Mia Bella, sink in the luxurious sofas of Skooter in Chanakyapuri, sip the freshly brewed concoctions at The Brew Master at Kirti Nagar, or crank it up a notch at Club Billionaire. For, my dear friend, the world is your oyster. Then again, you have My Way or the Highway for the Noida vaasis, while the Gurgaon party goers can go to Iskate Ice Skating and Cafe on National Highway 8 or Club Rhino.
Thursdays is a precursor to the weekend, and with four good venues to live it up in, you could take your pick between Uber Lounge in GK2, T’zers in Saket, TC in Adchini or the newly opened He Said She Said in Hauz Khas Village. For Fridays, we say go easy for the world is about to descend on the circuit, so how about some fondue and drinks on the house at Simply Fondue at Nehru Place. Saturdays it could get crazy to get a place in town, so we suggest some quality music and playing it underground at Bromfy Music Cafe in GK1.
Which brings us to Sunday. We’re pretty sure you must have heard of the legendary ladies nights at Raasta post 8 pm. Dance your hearts out, and if it gets too much, there is always a friend’s shack to take the party back to. And voila! The week is through and you have saved some, and lost none. It’s good to be one of the ladies.
