Lucknow-based Urja Sathi, a pioneering sustainable energy-tech platform, has raised INR 3.5 Million in seed funding to fuel its mission of transforming the clean energy landscape in India. The funding, provided by visionary entrepreneurs Ankitt Jain and Sharlee Jain, will be used for team-building, customer support enhancement, marketing, and overall growth of the platform.
Founded in 2023, Urja Sathi has remained bootstrapped until now and has recently introduced India’s first online marketplace dedicated to renewable energy solutions. The platform, launched in January 2024, focuses on making clean energy technologies more accessible to individuals and businesses, with a current emphasis on solar energy.
Anurag Srivastava, Founder of Urja Sathi, expressed his excitement about the funding round, thanking the investors for their support. He highlighted the platform’s goal of becoming India’s largest marketplace for renewable energy products and services, catering to both residential and commercial customers. Srivastava emphasized Urja Sathi’s commitment to streamlining the adoption of solar and clean energy, aligning with India’s sustainability goals.
The funding will enable Urja Sathi to acquire talent, enhance customer support, and improve its marketing efforts to reach a wider audience. Investors Ankitt Jain and Sharlee Jain of Paper Arizona expressed their confidence in Urja Sathi’s vision and dedication to sustainable energy, noting the platform’s potential to revolutionize the clean energy business in India.

He commended Urja Sathi’s ability to catalyze the green energy ecosystem and drive India’s clean energy transition forward.
Urja Sathi is set to launch its flagship mobile app by April 2024 and aims to onboard over 5000 solar manufacturers, EPC players, and sustainable energy solutions providers nationwide. The platform also plans to engage at least one lakh B2C end-users within the next year. Additionally, Urja Sathi will expand its focus beyond solar to include green hydrogen, EV, wind, and other emerging segments in the green energy landscape.
