As per reports, Zurich-based reinsurance company Swiss Re has identified six startups for its first batch of InsurTech program, a global fintech accelerator program. The duration of the accelerator program is 16 weeks.
The program has selected mainly three technology themes. It includes- Internet of Things (IoT) for home, industrial, health and motor, systems of engagement that is innovative distribution channels and models, digital assistants/ Robo-advisors etc. and smart analytics, an application of deep learning and machine learning across insurance value chain.
The six selected startups are Touchkin, Datasigns Technologies, Arya.Ai, GOQii, EKincare and Niki.Ai.
Founded by Jo Aggarwal and Ramakant Vempati in the year 2015, Touchkin is a predictive health care provider for elders that uses mobile-based social sensing to enable proactive personalised care. Datasigns is a risk platform that forges traditional & non-traditional data to facilitate financial services to those outside the formal system. It was founded in 2016 by Anand Barua and Monish Anand.
Arya.Ai claims to have created first AI system prototype within medicine and defence domains in India while exploring research solutions using drones. It was founded in 2013 by Vinay Kumar Sankarapu and Deekshith Marla.
GOQii is a wearable tech startup which provides smart wearables that help in tracking your steps, sleep and any physical activity. It was founded by Vishal Gondal in the year 2014.
Founded in the year 2014 by Kiran Kalakuntla and Dinesh Koka, EKincare is an online platform that enables users to monitor their critical medical information and all health records by keeping them on the cloud. Niki.Ai was founded by Shishir Modi, Sachin Jaiswal, Keshav Prawasi and Nitin Babel, in the year 2015. The startup is an AI-powered bot that lets users order anything through a chat interface.
