Apple ‘unleashed’ event: What to expect

New Macbook Pros

The new MacBook Pros will succeed last year’s Apple M1-powered MacBook Pros and are expected to bring in a new ‘M1X’ chip onboard. The upcoming MacBook Pro lineup may include two variants- 14-inch model as well as a 16-inch model powered by an M1X processor, likely paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage for the base variant. The laptops are also expected to ditch the Touch Bar, which has been seen on the MacBook Pro for years now. The new device may include an SD card reader and HDMI and MagSafe ports. The laptops may further feature a mini-LED display with 120Hz refresh rate, faster charging, and the return of an HDMI port on a MacBook.

AirPods3

The new version of the AirPods Pro was expected to be launched alongside iPhone 13 but that did not happen. According to reports, The AirPods Gen 3 may come with motion sensors to enable better fitness tracking. An image of the upcoming AirPods 3 reveals the earphones’ design which seems to be inspired by the Pro variant. It may come with a short stem and a sensor, as well as a microphone on the front. The new models are expected to feature a new design that resembles the shape of the current-generation AirPods Pro, notably featuring shorter stems on the earbuds themselves.

New Mac Mini

The iPhone maker may also launch a more powerful Mac mini, featuring the same processor found in the updated MacBook Pros and more ports than are currently available on the M1-powered Mini. The Mac mini is also expected to come with more ports than the M1 Mac mini.

macOS Monterey

Apple’s latest macOS, macOS Monterey is still making users of Apple computers wait for the next software update. Apple has released iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, but macOS Monterey, which was announced alongside them, is still in beta. With Apple announcing new MacBooks, it would only make sense that the company’s new laptops come with macOS Monterey onboard.
