Actor Parineeti Chopra announced her partnership and investment in Clensta, a personal care brand. The actor and singer took to social media app Instagram to announce the investment, although the quantum of investment is not known.
She joined actors Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif who have taken to entrepreneurship with brands 82 E in beauty, Ed-a-Mamma in clothing and Kay Beauty in makeup, respectively. Clensta, a D2C startup, was founded by IIM Calcutta alumnus Puneet Gupta in 2016 as a maker of waterless personal hygiene product.
“I’m super excited to announce my brand new journey as an Investor and Partner at Clensta! I decided to partner with them for just one simple reason – they are making products that no one else is,” she shared on her Instagram account. The company has raised USD 3.6 million through five funding rounds led by investors like Venture Catalysts, HEM Angels and Inflection Point Ventures, according to Crunchbase data. It is available on e-commerce platforms Amazon, Flipkart and Nykaa.
