Drake’s ‘Janice STFU’ Secures First Multi-Week No. 1 of the Decade
Drake continues to prove his staying power on the charts as his latest hit, “Janice STFU,” remains at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second consecutive week. The achievement marks the Canadian superstar’s first multi-week Hot 100 chart-topper of the decade and further strengthens his record-breaking legacy in the music industry.
The song debuted at No. 1 last week and has successfully maintained its position thanks to strong streaming numbers, growing radio airplay, and continued fan engagement. It is also Drake’s 14th career No. 1 single, extending his status as one of the most successful solo male artists in Billboard history.
First Multi-Week No. 1 Since ‘In My Feelings’
While Drake has enjoyed several chart-topping hits throughout the 2020s, “Janice STFU” is the first to spend more than one week at No. 1 since his 2018 smash hit “In My Feelings,” which ruled the chart for 10 weeks.
The rapper’s previous multi-week No. 1 songs include fan favorites such as “God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” and “One Dance.” With “Janice STFU,” Drake adds another major milestone to a career already filled with record-breaking accomplishments.
The track is also leading both the Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts for a second week, reinforcing its cross-genre appeal.
‘ICEMAN’ Continues to Fuel Drake’s Chart Success
Much of his current momentum is driven by his latest album, “ICEMAN,” which remains one of the most-streamed projects in the United States.
Beyond “Janice STFU,” Drake occupies multiple positions inside the Hot 100 Top 10. “Shabang” remains at No. 4, “Ran to Atlanta” featuring Future and Molly Santana sits at No. 6, and “Whisper My Name” holds the No. 9 spot.
The album’s success follows another historic achievement, with Drake previously becoming the first artist to simultaneously occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Olivia Rodrigo Makes a Strong Top 5 Debut
Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo also had a major week on the charts as her new single “The Cure” debuted at No. 5 on the Hot 100.
The track becomes Rodrigo’s eighth career Top 10 hit and serves as the latest preview of her highly anticipated upcoming album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” scheduled for release on June 12.
“The Cure” follows the success of lead single “Drop Dead,” which debuted at No. 1 earlier this year. The song also launches at No. 1 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, further highlighting Rodrigo’s versatility and growing influence across genres.
A Competitive Summer Chart Battle Ahead
With Drizzy maintaining a firm grip on the top spot and Olivia Rodrigo building momentum ahead of her album release, the summer music charts are shaping up to be highly competitive.
Artists including Ella Langley, Bruno Mars, Olivia Dean, and several emerging stars continue to challenge for top positions, but for now, Drake remains firmly in control of the Billboard Hot 100 conversation.
As streaming numbers, radio airplay, and album releases continue to evolve, fans can expect more chart battles and record-breaking moments in the weeks ahead.
