And So I Watch You From Afar are set to take Bangalore by Storm
Prepping for the Weekender
With a capacity of only 9000 people per venue, NH7 has created considerable interest among the online crowd. Day passes and Community tickets and a whole bunch of good offers ensure that the audience that came for previous Weekenders will show up again. Spanning just below 2 months and covering 4 cities, this massive feat is backed up by the fact that each venue has hordes of artists playing on multiple stages.
With each city gearing up expectantly for the local and international acts that will hit them, some are taking it a notch further, visiting multiple cities for each Weekender festival. These Warrior passes are also selling out like crazy. The music has been spread quite fairly across the cities, with each one getting a reasonable mix of local and international bands.
Here is some of what the Bangalore edition will be experiencing just on day one :
The Dewarists Stage: Dry the River, Kailasa, Lucky Ali, Parvaaz, The Raghu Dixit Project, The Manganiyar Seduction by Royston Abel and Mekaal Hasan Band
Eristoff Wolves Den: Big City Harmonics, Funk, Krunk All-Stars, Noisia, Nucleya, Shaa’ir and Func and Rob Garza (ThieveryCorporation) Solo DJ set
MTS Other Stage: Nischay Parekh, Prateek Kuhad, Sulk Station, Zervas and Pepper
Breezer Dub Station: Bobby Friction, Dakta Dub, DJ Uri, Low Rhyderz, Reggae Rajahs
In addition, they have added the Red Bull Tour Bus, which plays host to bands like Dualist Inquiry Band, Swarathma, Skrat and Until We Last.
And this is all just on the first day. Day 2 will see Alt-Rock giants And So I Watch You From Afar and Metal prodigies Tesseract dominate!
This is a brilliant line-up, especially as Tesseract is huge among the Bangalore crowd. Every city however, has got a ridiculously good and varied line-up, so make you catch the bands you need to see!
