5 features of the Startup India Hub that you should know of

The Startup India Hub was launched on June, 19th by Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Commerce & Industry Minister. The Hub will act as a platform for all the stake holders of Startup India, including startups, investors, funds, mentors, academia, incubators, accelerators, corporates, Government bodies and more, to connect with each other and share ideas, discover news and related information.

The platform will help create each startup’s individual story and this, the government is hoping, will in turn boost the ecosystem through interactions with relevant participants. Its objective is to reduce knowledge asymmetry, enable information discovery and create an over-all conducive environment for startups to flourish. Here are the 5 salient features of the Startup India Virtual Hub:

1. Personalised dashboard

It offers a personalised dashboard to help interact with  mentors, incubators, accelerators, investors and other fellow-startup-founders. They are categorized according to industry, stage and location. All one needs to do to connect with someone to take a conversation forward is send a ‘connect’ request.

2. Resources

The resources section offers valuable knowledge, learning and development programs and various tools and templates. It covers market and research information as well guidelines on how to register your company. It also houses a curated list of government schemes designed for the startup ecosystem along with the application link and contact person details.

3. Blogs, News and Events

The Startup India Hub will also host the latest blogs by members of the startup community along with news curated from more than 20 sources. Through the platform, one can even get to know of upcoming startup-related events and meetings around their city.

4. Engagement

 One can engage in discussions, ask questions and receive valuable feedback from the startup community on the ‘Forum’ section of the Hub.

5. AI chatbot

If one requires any assistance, help is always readily available through updated recommendations from ‘Sara’ – the AI chatbot – which will constantly enhance itself.
