Call of Duty Season 3 Unveils New Maps, Weapons, and Major Warzone Changes
Activision has officially revealed the roadmap for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, promising one of the most content-packed updates in recent years. Launching on April 2, the new season introduces fresh multiplayer maps, six new weapons, a revamped battle pass, and major gameplay changes across both titles.
New Weapons Expand the Arsenal
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 adds six free DLC weapons, giving players new ways to customize their loadouts. Among the highlights are the MK35 ISR assault rifle and the VST submachine gun, both available through the battle pass.
Additional weapons, including the Strider 300 sniper rifle, a classic 1911 pistol, a Siren special weapon, and a katana melee weapon, will roll out through in-season challenges and events.
New attachments, such as underbarrel shotguns and spear-launching modifications, further deepen gameplay customization.
Multiplayer Gets New and Classic Maps
Multiplayer fans can look forward to a mix of brand-new battlegrounds and remastered classics. At launch, players will gain access to fresh maps like Beacon, Abyss, and Trident, alongside returning favorites like Plaza and Gridlock.
More maps will arrive midseason, including Onsen and remastered versions of Summit and Hacienda, ensuring a steady stream of new content.
Additionally, the return of Free Run mode introduces a parkour-style challenge map designed to test players’ movement skills across multiple obstacle zones.
Warzone’s Verdansk Receives a Major Update
One of the biggest highlights of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 is the update to Verdansk in Warzone. A brand-new point of interest called Launch Pad is being added near the southern shoreline.
This sprawling location features multiple structures, vertical gameplay opportunities, and high-value loot zones, making it a likely hotspot for intense battles.
Warzone also introduces map rotation, allowing players to alternate between Verdansk and Avalon in battle royale matches for the first time.

New Modes, Events, and Ranked Play
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 bring a variety of new and returning game modes. Multiplayer sees the return of Demolition, alongside new limited-time modes like Heat Wave Havoc and Freeze Tag.
Zombies mode expands with the Ashwood survival map at launch and a new round-based map, Totenreich, arriving midseason. A competitive Zombie Battle mode also adds a fresh twist to co-op gameplay.
Meanwhile, Ranked Play receives a new season with updated rewards across both multiplayer and Warzone modes.
Endgame Goes Free-to-Play
In a major move, Black Ops 7’s Endgame mode will be available free-to-play for a limited time. This allows players who don’t own the full game to experience cooperative missions and squad-based challenges.
The mode also introduces new “Operations,” structured objectives that reward players with exclusive items and progression bonuses.
A Content-Packed Season Ahead
With a combination of new weapons, evolving maps, fresh modes, and free-to-play content, Season 3 aims to keep both casual and competitive players engaged.
As Call of Duty continues to expand its ecosystem, this update reinforces its position as one of the most dynamic live-service franchises in gaming.
