Sydney Sweeney’s Bathwater-Infused Soap Sparks Internet Frenzy

Sydney Sweeney, the Euphoria and Anyone But You star, is scrubbing the internet clean with her latest—and most bizarre—collaboration yet. The actress has teamed up once again with personal care brand Dr. Squatch to launch a limited-edition soap bar infused with a touch of her actual bathwater.

The product, cheekily named “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss,” marks a daring blend of influencer marketing and internet culture, and fans are losing their minds. While some are racing to get their hands on the soap, others are questioning whether we’ve officially reached peak weirdness.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sydney Sweeney said in a press release. “It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable—it actually smells incredible.”

The idea riffs off a viral moment from Sydney Sweeney’s 2024 ad with Dr. Squatch, in which fans flooded the comments asking for her bathwater. The Instagram post garnered over 1.7 million likes, underscoring the power of her influence and setting the stage for this uniquely tongue-in-cheek product launch.

Only 5,000 Bars Will Be Made

Dr. Squatch has confirmed that only 5,000 bars of Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss will be produced. Starting May 29, fans can enter a giveaway via the company’s website and Instagram for a chance to win one of 100 free bars. The remaining inventory will go on sale for $8 each, beginning June 6 at 9 a.m. PT, and will be available only while supplies last.

John Ludeke, Dr. Squatch’s Senior VP of Global Marketing, said, “There’s no playbook for turning Sydney Sweeney’s actual bathwater into a bar of soap, but that’s exactly why we did it. The goal was to surprise people and get them thinking about what’s in their products.”

Some users praised the marketing genius, while others labelled it a gimmick. Questions about hygiene and authenticity also swirled, but the buzz only seems to be increasing demand.

A Viral Soap for the Internet Age
