Demonic Resurrection: Returning To Darkness

Close on the heels of having been announced to play Wacken Open Air, Mumbai-based heavy metal

band Demonic Resurrection have put out release dates for their fourth full-length album, which is

to be called The Demon King.

After putting out an amusing ‘hangman’ game online where fans had

to guess the name of the album, the release dates are now as follows:

India: 13 July 2014

U.K and Europe: 14 July 2014

USA: 15 July 2014.

Regarding the etymology of the album, Mephisto, keyboardist for the group, said, “We have always

played around with unnamed forces of darkness in the past. With this release, we felt the need for

an evil overlord to take the reins and bring in the apocalypse. A savage and unstoppable force such

as this had to be a definitive and commanding figure, which is why we came up with The Demon

King.”

The album is due for release worldwide on Candlelight Records and on Universal Music in India. The

band’s last album The Return to Darkness (2010) was released on Candlelight Records worldwide

and Demonstealer Records in India.
