Kasauli’s R&B Festival 2014 Works for a Charitable Cause
Like last year’s edition of the Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival, where the line-up included massive indie names like Parikrama, The Raghu Dixit Project and Mrigya among others, this year’s version too offers a varied collective of impressive indie acts including blues band Soulmate (read our interview here), alt-rock band Indus Creed, folk fusion band Susmit Sen Chronicles (watch our profile here) and others, except, with an added charitable cause. The entry passes will be sold using something called ‘Donor Cards’, through which part of the money will be directed towards medical care of ‘ten critically ill children’.
The three-day festival, organized by Genesis Foundation, an NGO that works towards a better future for underprivileged children, will take place from April 18 to 20 at the Baikunth Resorts, Kasauli.
Below is a video of the crowd-funded effort to raise funds through the festival by Genesis Foundation. Tickets are priced at Rs. 5500. To see the entire line-up, click here.
