Karol G to Headline YouTube’s First-Ever Exclusive NFL Halftime Show in Brazil
São Paulo gears up for history as music and football collide on September 5. Colombian global superstar Karol G will headline the NFL halftime show at YouTube’s first exclusive NFL live broadcast, set for September 5, 2025, during the São Paulo matchup between the reigning AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers at the iconic Corinthians Arena.
The NFL halftime show Brazil event, dubbed “Sounds of Latin America through Gameday Entertainment,” will not only showcase a thrilling Week 1 NFL clash but also celebrate the cultural vibrancy of Latin music on a global stage.
A Global Stage for Latin Music
Karol G, fresh off the success of her Billboard No. 1 album “Tropicoqueta,” expressed her excitement in a statement: “I’m so excited to be part of YouTube’s first-ever NFL live broadcast. I’ve watched many NFL halftime shows over the years, and now having this opportunity to bring my music to this global stage means the world to me.”
Joining her in the spotlight at the NFL Halftime Show, Brazilian country-pop sensation Ana Castela will perform the Hino Nacional Brasileiro (Brazilian national anthem), while Grammy-nominated composer and jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington will deliver the U.S. national anthem.

This broadcast marks a milestone partnership between the NFL and YouTube, bringing together sports, music, and global creators.

The Week 1 showdown will stream free on YouTube starting with a pre-game show at 7 p.m. ET, followed by kickoff at 8 p.m. ET. The Chiefs, led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will face division rivals the Chargers in a high-energy start to the NFL season.
The game is part of the league’s push to expand its global presence, with Brazil emerging as one of the NFL’s fastest-growing fan markets.
