Set in modern-day New York City, Highest 2 Lowest is a gritty reimagining of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 crime classic High and Low. In Lee’s version, Washington plays a powerful music mogul whose son, portrayed by Rocky, becomes the target of a high-stakes ransom scheme.
