Charlamagne Tha God Questions A$AP Rocky’s Music Amid New Drake Diss
Charlamagne Tha God is once again stirring conversation in hip-hop after questioning the quality and cultural impact of A$AP Rocky’s music, suggesting that Rocky only makes headlines when he takes shots at Drake. The comments came during a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, where the hosts discussed Rocky’s long-awaited album Don’t Be Dumb and its now-viral track, “Stole Ya Flow.”
As the song played on air, Charlamagne Tha God admitted he hadn’t initially realized the record was being perceived as a Drake diss. Co-host Lauren Lorsa quickly pointed out lyrical references to “stealing flows,” “stealing somebody’s girl,” and even a controversial line about a rapper with a BBL—an apparent nod to online rumors that resurfaced during Drake’s high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“Every time I hear something about A$AP Rocky’s music, it’s him dissing Drake,” Charlamagne said. “I don’t ever hear, ‘Yo, Rocky just put out a hot record.’ All I hear is, ‘Yo, Rocky dissed Drake.’”
“Stole Ya Flow” and the Drake-Rihanna Subtext
On “Stole Ya Flow,” A$AP Rocky doesn’t exactly hide his target. Lyrics referencing stolen styles, cosmetic surgery jokes, and personal relationships have led fans to connect the dots directly to Drake. The most cutting bar appears to reference Rihanna, with whom Rocky shares three children: “First you stole my flow; so I stole yo’ bitch.”
The Rihanna angle has added fuel to the fire, especially given Drake’s own subliminal bars about her on his 2023 album For All the Dogs. That history has made Rocky’s lines feel less like casual jabs and more like a continuation of a long-simmering rivalry.

Multiple Drake Disses Across Don’t Be Dumb
“Stole Ya Flow” isn’t the only moment A$AP Rocky appears to take aim at Drake. Tracks like “No Trespassing” and “Playa” include lines that many interpret as references to Drake’s lifestyle, parenting, and recent move to Texas. While Rocky has previously said he doesn’t want his lyrics misinterpreted, the consistency of the shots suggests otherwise.
During a recent appearance on Popcast, Rocky all but confirmed Drake as the subject. When asked directly, he responded, “I think we all know,” explaining how former friendships can sour into rivalry when jealousy and resentment set in.
Is the Beef Overshadowing the Music?
While Don’t Be Dumb has received mixed reviews, much of the discourse surrounding the album has been dominated by the Drake feud rather than its artistic merits. Charlamagne Tha God’s criticism taps into a broader question facing Rocky: is his music still driving culture, or is controversy doing the heavy lifting?
Whether Drake responds or not remains to be seen. For now, the tension between the two stars continues to shape the narrative around A$AP Rocky’s latest era—fairly or not.
