Hyperlocal service provider AskmeBazaar has started its Next Day Delivery (NDD) service in Hyderabad by tying up with 70 merchants in the city across 13 product categories. The company states that NDD ensures that their ordered products are delivered to their customers within 24 hours of the confirmation of the order. In the next phase of expansion, AskmeBazaar plans to cover other areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana like Guntur, Vijaywada and Vizag.
The company has already spread across 22 cities and has a seller base of 1400 merchants to strengthen itself in the hyperlocal delivery marketplace.
“Currently you see hyperlocal delivery only in the grocery and food segments. We have launched our hyperlocal delivery in this segment in Delhi-NCR recently and will also scale it up over the next two quarters. As for the NDD service, we plan on expanding our services to 50 cities in the next two months,” said Marichi Mathur, Head of NDD at AskmeBazaar.
Mathur further added that the NDD service has a minimum order value of Rs.1000 and will be restricted to only branded goods. He also added that instead of charging a listing fee, the company charges a transaction fulfilment amount from the local merchants to carry out efficient logistics.
