Preventify Raises ₹2 Crore Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Healthcare Clinics in Tier-2 and Tier-3 India

Kerala-based healthcare startup Preventify has raised ₹2 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by operator-led accelerator PedalStart, marking a key milestone in its mission to deliver standardized, preventive, and chronic healthcare in India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

The round also saw participation from a group of prominent strategic angel investors, including Viren Shetty of Narayana Health, Jatin Kakrani of Dezy, the founding teams of Supertails and Agrizy, along with senior leaders from India’s healthcare ecosystem. The funding will be deployed to scale Preventify’s clinic footprint, strengthen chronic disease management programs, and deepen technology-led healthcare delivery for underserved markets.

Building a Cluster-Based Clinic Model

Preventify plans to use the capital to establish its first cluster of 10 branded clinics, primarily across Kerala. The startup follows a cluster-based, asset-light expansion strategy designed to deliver consistent clinical outcomes while maintaining capital efficiency.

Currently operating three clinics in Kerala, Preventify has already served more than 40,000 patients. The early traction highlights strong demand for reliable and continuous care in semi-urban and smaller towns, where healthcare access exists but quality and coordination remain fragmented.

Addressing India’s Chronic Care Challenge

Preventify focuses on preventive healthcare and long-term management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders—conditions that are rising sharply outside metro cities.

“Healthcare in Tier-2 and Tier-3 India is no longer an access problem; it’s a consistency and continuity problem,” said Nirmal N R, Co-founder and CEO of Preventify. “Patients often interact with disconnected doctors, labs, and pharmacies. Our goal is to build protocol-driven, affordable care models that manage patients over time and deliver predictable health outcomes.”

The startup operates at the intersection of clinical protocols, diagnostics, pharmacy integration, and technology-enabled care coordination, prioritizing longitudinal patient relationships over episodic treatment.

Technology-Enabled Managed Care Programs

Over the next 12–18 months, Preventify will also accelerate its subscription-based managed care programs. These programs follow a phygital model, combining in-clinic consultations with digital monitoring, structured follow-ups, lifestyle interventions, and continuous care coordination.

The company is investing in standardized care pathways, outcome-tracking systems, and integrated workflows to ensure consistent care quality across all clinic locations.

Investors were drawn to Preventify’s disciplined execution, focus on chronic care, and clear understanding of scalable healthcare operations in non-metro markets.

“Preventify is solving one of the most critical gaps in India’s healthcare system—standardized chronic care outside metro cities,” said Manas Pal and Aditya Darolia, Co-founders of PedalStart. “Their cluster-based approach and emphasis on long-term outcomes align with how sustainable healthcare businesses should be built.”

Beyond funding, PedalStart is actively supporting Preventify on growth strategy, operational discipline, and scalable expansion processes.

With this pre-seed round, Preventify aims to demonstrate repeatable expansion, strong clinical governance, and sustainable unit economics, positioning itself for a future institutional or early-stage VC round. Its long-term vision is to build a trusted, category-defining healthcare brand for India’s next 500 million people—focused on affordability, continuity, and measurable health outcomes.
