Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni Lawsuit Explodes as Unsealed Texts Name A-List Stars

The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni has taken a dramatic new turn, pulling some of Hollywood’s biggest names into the spotlight. Newly unsealed court documents, released ahead of a January 2026 hearing, reveal private messages that name A-list celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Anna Wintour — igniting widespread industry shock.

How the Legal Battle Began

Blake Lively first sued Justin Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation during the production of It Ends With Us. Justin Baldoni denied the claims and later filed a $400 million countersuit, which was later dismissed. Blake Lively’s lawsuit remains active, with a trial scheduled for May 2026.

In recent months, unsealed filings have shed light on the behind-the-scenes tensions surrounding the film, including more than 100 potential witnesses and deeply personal exchanges between Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Hollywood power players.

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and the Script Controversy

Among the most attention-grabbing revelations are text messages between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. According to court exhibits, Lively asked Swift to support a revised version of the film’s script. Swift allegedly replied, “I’ll do anything for you!!” — a message Blake Lively’s legal team says lacks crucial context.

Other unsealed messages reference Taylor Swift’s then-boyfriend, Travis Kelce, with Blake Lively asking Swift to show him an early edit of the film and share his thoughts. The exchanges have fueled speculation about how deeply the singer was drawn into the dispute.

Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Artists Equity

Blake Lively also reached out to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for feedback on her cut of the film. In one email, she described the production as an experience that “nearly killed” her, while accusing Justin Baldoni of being “in a cult.”

Matt Damon reportedly responded supportively and even suggested Blake Lively consider directing a future project with Artists Equity, the production company he co-founded with Ben Affleck. Lively also sought feedback from Jennifer Lopez, then married to Ben Affleck, though it remains unclear if either watched the film.

Anna Wintour, Jenny Slate and Growing Fallout

Former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour allegedly emailed Blake Lively after the film’s release, calling it “very brave and moving” and praising her resilience. Meanwhile, actress Jenny Slate, who appeared in the film, unleashed scathing criticism of Justin Baldoni in private texts, labeling him a “fraud,” “false ally,” and “intense narcissist.”

Jenny Slate claimed the set was “gross and disturbing,” adding that she and Lively both raised concerns directly with the studio.

Hollywood’s Inner Circle Exposed

Other notable names appear throughout the unsealed documents, including Bradley Cooper, Johnny Depp, Jameela Jamil, and Brandon Sklenar. The messages paint a picture of a deeply fractured production and expose how private conversations among Hollywood elites can quickly become public — and legally significant.

As the May 2026 trial approaches, the release of these documents has transformed the Lively–Baldoni lawsuit from a workplace dispute into one of Hollywood’s most explosive legal sagas, with reputations and careers now caught in the crossfire.
