Megan Thee Stallion & PSY Lead Explosive K-Pop-Western Music Face-Off in Apple TV+’s KPOPPED

Apple TV+ has just unveiled the high-octane trailer for its upcoming global music competition series KPOPPED, promising an unprecedented East-meets-West showdown that will electrify fans of K-pop and Western pop alike. Headlined by Megan Thee Stallion and PSY, the eight-episode series is set to premiere worldwide on August 29, 2025.

KPOPPED isn’t your typical singing contest. This musical spectacle pairs top K-pop idols with iconic Western artists, including Kesha, Kylie Minogue, Patti LaBelle, TLC, Boy George, Boyz II Men, Mel B, and Emma Bunton, for live song battles judged by an enthusiastic audience in Seoul, South Korea.

“This is history in the making,” Megan Thee Stallion with PSY declares in the trailer, as a montage of powerhouse collaborations teases thrilling performances. From Kesha belting out bangers with JO1 to Boyz II Men harmonizing with BLACKSWAN, KPOPPED is poised to be a celebration of cultural fusion and musical innovation.

The competition will feature Western pop icons teaming up with K-pop groups like ITZY, JO1, Billlie, ATEEZ, Kep1er, STAYC, Kiss of Life, and BLACKSWAN, reinventing legendary hits with a K-pop twist. Every episode culminates in a high-energy face-off, with the studio audience crowning a winner. The idols also perform their own K-popped versions of the guest artists’ signature songs, making each episode a must-watch.

“This is a feel-good, cross-cultural celebration that spans generations, styles, and continents,” said executive producer Chris Culvenor. “We wanted to bring together global icons to create performances the world has never seen.”
