Billboard’s Top Movie Songs Chart – F1 Soundtrack with Tate McRae Leading
F1: The Movie isn’t just setting the box office ablaze—it’s taking over the music world, too. Music from the high-octane racing drama is dominating Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart for June 2025, with seven of the top 10 tracks hailing from F1 the Album. Leading the charge is Tate McRae’s emotional anthem “Just Keep Watching,” which debuts at No. 1 on the chart.
Released ahead of the film’s theatrical debut on June 27, Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” quickly accelerated on streaming platforms, earning 44 million U.S. streams and 5,000 downloads in June alone, according to Luminate. The single debuted at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and continues to perform well, landing at No. 60 on the chart dated August 2.
The F1 soundtrack doesn’t slow down there. Chris Stapleton’s gritty “Bad As I Used To Be” takes No. 2 with 10.5 million streams, followed by the infectious “Lose My Mind” by Don Toliver featuring Doja Cat at No. 3. Ed Sheeran’s smooth and soulful “Drive” lands at No. 4, rounding out the top four—all occupied by F1 tracks.
The soundtrack’s surprise success extends beyond individual singles. F1 the Album debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 with 28,000 equivalent album units and continues to chart at No. 32 this week.
The only non-F1 entry in the top five is Jack Black’s fan-favorite “Steve’s Lava Chicken” from A Minecraft Movie, which slips to No. 5 after a two-month reign at the top. Additional highlights from the chart include Queen’s “We Will Rock You” (No. 6) and Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” (No. 10), both featured prominently in F1’s adrenaline-filled scenes.
Tate McRae Ignites the Track with New Song “Just Keep Watching” for Brad Pitt’s F1 Movie
The chart, powered by Tunefind (a Songtradr company), uses a blend of film soundtrack data, sales figures, and streaming metrics to rank top-performing songs featured in recently released films. June’s ranking proves one thing clearly: F1: The Movie isn’t just a cinematic thrill ride—it’s a full-blown music phenomenon.

The success of F1 the Album also reflects a smart release strategy. The soundtrack dropped on May 30, nearly a month ahead of the film’s release, building buzz and fan engagement early. This synergy between film and music has created a cultural moment that’s both fast-paced and emotionally resonant—just like the movie itself.
With F1 tracks still gaining momentum across platforms, Tate McRae’s chart-topping hit might be just the first of many No. 1s to come from this year’s most unexpected musical juggernaut.
