Startup India Hub, Startup India’s initiative has resolved 12,290 queries received from startups through telephone, email and social media platforms. Following this, the Commerce and Industry Ministry has asked all the states and the Union Territories to set up ‘Startup Hub’ and incubators to help budding entrepreneurs.
Startup India Hub had been set up by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) in April to help resolve queries from startups. The department will also advise large companies to set up incubators or update existing ones through partnerships with educational institutes.
DIPP also added that seven proposals for Research Parks, 16 proposals for TBIs (technology business incubators) and 13 proposals for startup centres have been recommended by the National Expert Advisory Committee formed by the HRD Ministry. “These proposals shall be implemented in the current financial year,” it added.
These moves and several others have been ongoing as part of the Startup India initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January this year. Since the announcement, the DIPP has been introducing several incentives such as tax breaks and other help and relief measures fr budding entrepreneurs to help promote and support the startup ecosystem of India
