Netmeds launched Medmemo, an app that collects all your medical bills
You no longer need to collect and bundle up your medical bills and receipts to hand over to your HR. Healthcare e-commerce portal Netmeds launched Medmemo, a new application designed especially for corporate. Medmemo, the brainchild of Bruce Schwack, Co-Founder and Director, Communications of Netmeds, is unique in its ability to combine a pharmaceutical and OTC e-commerce platform with an electronic health records storage application.
Commenting on the launch of the new app, Netmeds Co-Founder and Director Communications, Bruce Schwack, “The idea of Medmemo came to us while watching our own staff cue up each year outside the HR office to turn in their medical receipts for reimbursements.” He further added, “It is a time-consuming procedure to save all the physical copies of the medical bills and get them approved by the HR for reimbursements every year. Thus, Medmemo app ensures an organised way of accumulating bills along with cashback offers.”
Netmeds has offered cashback remittances that every HR can make use of for CSR contributions, recreational activities, outings and parties to push HR departments to encourage employees to use the app. A two per cent cashback is assured on all purchases that will be paid directly to the HR teams of client companies.
Medmemo is a powerful new way of ordering medicines and healthcare products. Besides just managing medical bills for company or insurance reimbursements, Medmemo ensures doorstep delivery of medicines, anywhere in India. The app also offers up to 20% discount on prescription medicines and allows connecting with doctors’ networks for free prescriptions.
Netmeds has tied up and aggregated with a number of licensed local pharmacies to fulfil every customer’s needs. Through the new app, users can purchase medicines by uploading a photo of their prescription. Once the order is confirmed, the start-up’s delivery staff will buy the medicines and deliver it to the customer’s preferred address.
“Since Netmeds was already a fully licensed and functional online pharmacy, creating the Medmemo overlay, GUI and feature set was a natural and seamless integration,” said Mr. Schwack.
With the new application, Medmemo is looking to drive more customers to avail of its services that are hassle-free and convenient to use. Schwack says, “We believe the new app will allow us to scale quicker and help us to emerge as the preferred app for a full spectrum of consumer requirements in the medical sphere.”
