Tekken 8: New Release Trailer Highlights Miary Zo and ArmorKing

The Tekken 8 community is buzzing with excitement as Bandai Namco continues to reveal new content for the popular fighting game. Recently, a gameplay trailer for Miary Zo, the final Season 2 DLC fighter, was showcased at EVO France, and Armor King’s gameplay was revealed.

Miary Zo: The “Waifu Ogre”

Miary Zo, hailing from Madagascar, is the first original DLC character in Tekken 8. The gameplay trailer introduces her unique moves, design, and divine power, showcasing her deep fascination with wildlife, particularly lemurs. Key highlights of her gameplay include:

Special Moves:

Summoning weapons mid-fight, similar to Anna Williams

Using a blue staff to deliver knockdown combos and avoid low attacks

Summoning snake spirits with her bracelet to grab enemies

Tekken 8 Gameplay

Gameplay Mechanics:

Clinging to walls to evade attacks, a new game mechanic in Tekken 8

Interacting with stage walls to take advantage of terrain and positioning in battle

Rage Art and Heat Mode:

Unleashing a gigantic serpent that rises from the ground, allowing her to take flight and bulldoze her target into the ground

Gaining access to True Ogre-inspired moves, including enhanced snake-extension attacks,horn-based follow-ups, flame, and aerial attacks

Miary Zo’s connection to Ogre, the “God of Fighting,” is evident in her move set and backstory.Her release date is set for December 5, with early access starting on December 2.

Armor King: The “Dark Supernova”

Armor King, the next DLC character, is set to join the Tekken 8 roster on October 16, with 72 hour early access for Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and Season 2 Character Pass holders beginning October 13. His gameplay trailer showcases his explosive moves and devastating combos, including:

Poison Breath Attack: A returning move from Tekken 7, now behaving as a counter that can shift the momentum of the match in the player’s favor

Bad Jaguar Stance: A new stance that allows Armor King to counter with Poison Breath if struck by specific attacks during the start-up

Unbreakable Throw: If Armor King connects a throw after countering with Poison Breath, it becomes unbreakable

The Season 2 Character Pass for Tekken 8 costs $39.99, granting early access to new characters, including Miary Zo, and a new stage, Baobab Horizon.

With these new characters and gameplay mechanics, Tekken 8 continues to evolve, offering an exciting experience for fans and players.
