Madonna Unveils ‘Confessions II’ Film at Tribeca Festival With Star-Studded Cameos and New Music Preview
Notable cameos include actor Benedict Cumberbatch, actress Debi Mazar, musician Arca, DJ Honey Dijon, British artist Shygirl, actress Julia Garner, and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon.
Madonna gave fans an exclusive first look at her highly anticipated Confessions II era during a special world premiere event at the 2026 Tribeca Festival in New York City. The Queen of Pop unveiled a 13-minute visual project inspired by her upcoming album, offering audiences an immersive blend of music, storytelling, and cinematic spectacle.
Following the screening at the sold-out Beacon Theatre, Madonna joined directors David Toro and Solomon Chase, collectively known as TORSO, for a candid on-stage discussion moderated by journalist Anderson Cooper.
The pop icon described the project as a hybrid between a traditional music video and a full visual album, reflecting her desire to create a richer artistic experience for fans.
Star-Studded Cameos Elevate the Visual Experience
One of the biggest talking points from the premiere was the film’s impressive lineup of celebrity appearances.
The project features pop star Sabrina Carpenter, who appears alongside Madonna during scenes tied to their duet “Bring Your Love.” Colombian singer Feid also makes an appearance in their collaboration “Read My Lips.”
Other notable cameos include actor Benedict Cumberbatch, actress Debi Mazar, musician Arca, DJ Honey Dijon, British artist Shygirl, actress Julia Garner, and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon.
The film blends surreal imagery, elaborate dance sequences, fantasy-inspired visuals, and nightclub culture references, creating an ambitious visual companion to the upcoming album.
Four Unreleased Songs Debut for Fans
The premiere also provided attendees with an early listen to several unreleased tracks from Confessions II.
In addition to previously released singles “I Feel So Free” and “Bring Your Love,” audiences heard four new songs: “Good for the Soul,” “One Step Away,” “Danceteria,” and “Read My Lips.”
The album reunites Madonna with acclaimed producer Stuart Price, who helped shape the sound of her iconic 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. According to Madonna, the new record represents approximately 18 months of creative work.
While it remains unclear whether the unreleased tracks will arrive before the album launch, excitement surrounding the project continues to build ahead of its official release.
Momentum Builds Ahead of Album Release
The Tribeca premiere comes just days after Madonna transformed Times Square into a massive dance party with a surprise Pride Month performance attended by tens of thousands of fans.
Reflecting on that event, Madonna described it as a full-circle moment, recalling her arrival in New York City decades ago with little more than ambition and determination.
The Confessions II visual project is scheduled to debut publicly on YouTube, giving fans worldwide access to the cinematic experience. Meanwhile, anticipation continues to grow for the album’s July 3 release.
Madonna’s busy summer schedule will continue later this month before she headlines the first-ever FIFA World Cup halftime show on July 19 alongside global music stars BTS and Shakira, further cementing her status as one of pop music’s most enduring and influential performers.
