Coldplay Announces New Album Ghost Stories

Brit alt-rockers Coldplay have managed to create a ripple of excitement amidst all the brouhaha stoked by the Oscars by announcing the launch of their new album titled Ghost Stories, which is scheduled to release on May 19. The album, the band’s sixth studio release, will be part of the offerings for their performance lined-up at the SXSW festival in Texas next week, along with the screening of EDM ex-trio Swedish House Mafia’s documentary Leave The World Behind (read here).

Along with the album’s announcement, Coldplay also unveiled its second single “Magic” (video below) that emanates elements of experimental down-tempo sounds unlike the band’s regular alternative leanings. In addition to this, early last week, the band released the music video to one of their tracks “Midnight” from the same nine-track LP (watch video here).
