Infinix Partners BGMI eSports Team True Rippers Ahead of GT 30 Pro Launch
Infinix India is rewriting the rules of mobile gaming. The smartphone brand has partnered with True Rippers, one of India’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) eSports teams, to unveil ‘Infinix True Rippers’—ahead of the much-anticipated GT 30 Pro gaming smartphone launch on June 3.
This partnership marks Infinix’s first-ever global eSports team collaboration, signalling a powerful commitment to India’s burgeoning gaming ecosystem. As the Indian gaming market is expected to reach 730 million gamers by 2028, this collaboration aims to empower young Esports athletes and push the boundaries of mobile gaming performance.
Anish Kapoor, CEO of Infinix India, said
“At Infinix, we’re not just witnessing the gaming revolution—we’re driving it. Teams like True Rippers are the soul of India’s Esports culture. Our collaboration is rooted in a shared vision that gaming today is more than just play—it’s an identity and a career path for the youth.”
The timing couldn’t be better. As True Rippers rebrand under the Infinix banner, the eSports squad is already competing in the high-stakes BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2025—one of Krafton’s most prestigious invite-only tournaments. Fresh off a Top 6 finish at BGIS 2025, the team is heading into the BMPS grand finale in New Delhi with massive momentum.
But this partnership is more than just a name change. It sets the stage for the launch of the Infinix GT 30 Pro, a gaming-focused smartphone built for elite eSports competition. With 120 FPS support certified by BGMI Krafton and dual shoulder triggers—a segment-first feature—the GT 30 Pro is tailored for high-performance, professional-grade gaming on the go.
In addition to competition, Infinix True Rippers will co-create content and campaigns with the brand throughout the year, spotlighting GT Series innovations while engaging directly with India’s fast-growing eSports gamer base.
Yashwanth AR, CEO of True Rippers, highlighted the unique nature of the partnership:
“We’re thrilled to partner with a brand like Infinix that’s not just about performance, but also storytelling and community. Together, we’ll go beyond traditional sponsorships and build a movement that speaks to millions of young Indian gamers.”
The current Infinix True Rippers BGMI roster includes top-tier talent:
-
Gunjan Thakur aka Jelly
-
Swaraj Singh aka KioLmao
-
Ngurang Takar aka Ninzae
-
Samuel Nabam aka SAM
India’s eSports scene is exploding, with BGMI at its core. With this strategic partnership, Infinix is staking its claim as a serious player in both technology innovation and gaming culture. The Infinix True Rippers aren’t just a team—they’re a signal that the future of mobile Esports is here.
