Baz Luhrmann’s “EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert” Sets Global Release With Exclusive IMAX Debut

NEON and Universal Pictures International have officially announced the global theatrical rollout of Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert, a groundbreaking cinematic event showcasing the King of Rock ’n’ Roll like never before. The film launches with a one-week exclusive IMAX engagement on February 20, 2026, followed by a worldwide theatrical release on February 27, 2026.

A Cinematic Resurrection of Elvis Presley

Drawing from an extraordinary archive of never-before-seen footage, EPiC blends long-lost film reels from Elvis’ iconic 1970s Vegas residency, rare 16mm elements from Elvis on Tour, and intimate 8mm home-style recordings from the Graceland archive. These visuals are woven together with rediscovered audio clips of Elvis narrating his own story, creating what critics are calling an unmatched immersive concert experience.

The film, produced by Sony Music Vision, Bazmark, and Authentic Studios, debuted to standing ovations at the Toronto International Film Festival. Vogue praised it as “a burst of concert-film adrenaline,” while Variety declared it “one of the most exciting concert films you’ve ever seen.”

Baz Luhrmann Returns to the King

EPiC marks Luhrmann’s second major project dedicated to Elvis Presley, following his blockbuster 2022 film Elvis, which garnered eight Academy Award® nominations and nearly $300 million worldwide.

Baz Luhrmann revealed that the mission behind EPiC was deeply personal: “From the first day we encountered this rare footage almost eight years ago, it was our mission that Elvis should finally fulfil his unrealised dream to tour around the world.”

With EPiC, Luhrmann transforms historic material into a living, breathing, stadium-level performance, capturing Elvis at his most raw, charismatic, humorous, and electric.

Global Partners Bring EPiC to Life

NEON will release the film domestically in the U.S., while Universal Pictures handles the international markets. Sony Music Vision and Authentic Studios praised the collaboration, noting the film’s global appeal and unmatched cinematic power.

Tom Mackay, President of Sony Music Vision, called EPiC “an extraordinary, immersive film about a legendary artist that deserves to be seen on the big screen.”

Graceland to Host Exclusive First Screenings

Elvis fans will get an early glimpse at advance U.S. screenings at Graceland on January 8, 2026—Elvis’ birthday—with two free showings at The Guest House at Graceland.

With its IMAX launch and worldwide theatrical run, EPiC positions Elvis Presley not just as a music icon of the past, but as a cinematic phenomenon for a new generation.
