Streo Technologies, a Live music streaming start-up, has raised investments from GEMS advisory and Quarizon – an accelerator fund. The company was founded with the vision of being a one-stop technology solution to live-music event space and brings curated musical experiences to its users from across the world, live.
With the growing popularity of live music and gigs in India, nightclubs, pubs and bars have become a regular haunt for the current generation. Despite the demand, live streaming of music and nightlife depends on several factors like time and location of the gig. Streo looks to cater to users, artists, night clubs and festival organisers keeping in mind their understanding of user needs.
Through its app, the startup is trying to bridge the gap between music lovers and artists by providing live tune-in access with un-interrupted, high quality music experience. Streo provides the latest music trends, in real time, to its users – saving time to make or update their playlist. Users can now play gigs of any genre they like or in the mood for. The app is available on both platforms, iOS and Android.
Founded in December, 2015, the startup has currently partnered with popular nightclubs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa & Pune.
Commenting on the announcement Founder Arush Dhawan said, “The investment from Quarizon will help us in rapidly expanding our partnerships with nightclubs and artists, thereby providing users a diverse experience. Also, while live music streaming is our key value proposition, we will be introducing other solutions going forward keeping in mind our vision, by constantly enhancing the user experience.”
