Micromax 'Guts to Change' unleashes 19 new products with Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro

Micromax launched a whooping total of 19 products at its ‘Guts to Change’ event at Gurgaon on Wednesday. It unveiled several new devices including 15 new phones, the company’s first smart watch, new televisions, and new tablets.  Micromax emphasised their hard work to improve software and services a customer derives from its devices.

The company also unveiled its new logo and branding.

Among other smart-phones launched at the event, it included the Bolt series and Canvas series- in the Bolt series they launched Micromax Bolt Supreme, Bolt Supreme 2 and Bolt Q381 and in the long list of Canvas series have Canvas Evok, Canvas Spark 2+, Canvas Mega 2, Canvas Unite 4, Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro.Micromax Canvas 6 and Micromax Canvas 6 Pro, both 4G enabled) have been priced at Rs. 13,999, and can be pre ordered through the company’s website from Wednesday.

Consumer should not get confused given the same price and many same features of both Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro. Clearly they are launched for certain specific consumer needs.

The common features are-
Both smartphones feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) display with a pixel density of 401ppi.
Both smartphones bear a 3000mAh battery and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
Both phones come with Around UI on top of Android, and feature the Gaana app as the default music player app.

Apart from that, while the Canvas 6 is powered by an unspecified MediaTek octa-core SoC, the Canvas 6 Pro uses a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio MT6795m SoC.

Lookwise, the Canvas 6 bears a first metal body and fingerprint scanner on a Micromax phone giving it a slight edge. Apart from that, while the Canvas 6 features 3GB of RAM, the Canvas 6 Pro features 4GB of RAM. Canvas 6 include 32GB of inbuilt storage and Canvas 6 Pro has a 16GB of storage. The front facing camera of Canvas 6 is 8-megapixel while the Canvas 6 Pro is a 5-megapixel.
