Offering global cuisines, online food brand Twigly now expands to Delhi
Twigly is targeting to serve more than 1,000 orders per day in the next three-quarters and aims to set-up shop in Bengaluru soon
Online food brand Twigly has now expanded its services to Delhi. The food-tech start-up that serves global cuisines to one’s doorstep, already runs two kitchens in Gurgaon and delivers 250+ orders a day. It now intends to expand its customer base and over the next few months is looking at a target of 500 orders a day.
Twigly works on an online food ordering model and lays emphasis on on-demand delivery of fresh and good quality food. The company claims to maintain best-in-class assembly kitchens – in terms of hygiene standards and quality of people. The app, through the use of an algorithm, can predict what users would like to eat/order. They have supposedly received repeat orders as high as 70% on a daily basis due to its marketing and customer experience.
Zomato rates Twigly as one of the top 5 places to eat in Delhi NCR and now, apart from retail operations in sandwiches, pastas and pizzas, they plan to start a new product line of dips and shakes. This would soon be available online and through the modern retail format.
“Our experience says that Delhi & NCR steals the deal when it comes to ordering food at the tap of your mobile. Our focus would be aimed at the quality of food and best in class ordering experience. Since we are not constrained by prime real estate, we are over-investing in quality, people and hygiene. Within a short span of operation, we have earned a customer base of 10,000 people which in itself is an achievement, and we see it growing month on month. We aspire to scale-up to US$30 million in sales in the next 3–4 years,” said Sonal Minhas, Co-founder of Twigly.
