The first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight was released online on Tuesday. It is the fifth film of the decade-old Transformers franchise.
After Age of Extinction, this time around it seems that characters from both – Mark Wahlberg and Shia Labeouf – camps have returned. From the trailer it looks like Michael Bay and the makers are delving deep into the mythology and lore of Transformers. Bay has promised that this would be his last time working with the franchise and the producers had reportedly hired several writers to script the future of the series.
The most talked of point, if not the only, in the trailer is the shot of Optimus Prime attempting to kill Bumblebee. It is comparatively low on action, compared to what one would have anticipated, however, it could also be said that a lot is yet to be completed and integrated.
In addition to Wahlberg, Transformers: The Last Knight stars Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner, John Turturro, Stanley Tucci and Anthony Hopkins.
