Drake Makes History With 10 RIAA Diamond Singles — Most of Any Artist Ever
Drake has once again rewritten the record books — and this time, it’s a Diamond-studded achievement that puts him in a league of his own. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) officially announced on May 28 that Drake has earned his 10th Diamond certification, making him the most Diamond-certified artist in history. The news broke with a viral post featuring all 10 of the plaques — a career-spanning flex unmatched in music.
“Drake has the most RIAA Diamond Certifications of any artist, ever,” the RIAA confirmed.
The two latest additions to his Diamond catalogue are the fan-favourite 2009 breakthrough “Best I Ever Had” and 2013’s timeless “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” These join an already glittering list of mega-hits: “God’s Plan,” “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance,” and collaborations like “SICKO MODE” with Travis Scott, “No Guidance” with Chris Brown, and “Love Me” with Lil Wayne — not to mention “Life Is Good” with Future.
With these certifications, Drake surpasses both Garth Brooks and Post Malone, who previously shared the record with nine Diamond singles or albums apiece. While Brooks dominated album sales in the physical era, Drake’s numbers prove he’s the undisputed king of the streaming age.
In the RIAA’s ranking, one Diamond certification equals 10 million units sold in the U.S. alone — no easy feat in an era where listeners hop between hits at lightning speed. Drake’s sustained chart dominance is a testament not just to his prolific output but to his ability to create music that sticks.
Fans were quick to celebrate on social media, especially given the rapper’s recent lyrical sparring with Kendrick Lamar.
“Looks like the 20v1 didn’t work out!” one user joked, referencing Drake’s recent battle-heavy run in hip-hop.
And the run isn’t over. Another massive single, “Nice for What,” is already at 9x Platinum and is likely to hit Diamond soon, pushing the Toronto native’s total even higher.
Meanwhile, Drake is staying booked and busy. He recently released the collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR, featuring multiple tracks that are still climbing the Billboard Hot 100. This summer, he’ll headline Wireless Festival in London over three straight nights (July 11–13) and promises the return of the OVO Fest in Toronto.
Drake’s legacy as a chart titan is now enshrined in Diamond. From early hits to modern anthems, his discography reflects not just popularity but longevity. And as he continues to dominate streaming platforms and festival stages alike, one thing is clear: Drizzy’s not done shining.
