EMS Limited Reports Over 24% Jump in Net Profit, Fueled by Higher Operating Income

EMS Limited, a multi-disciplinary EPC company based in Ghaziabad, has announced a significant 24.05% increase in standalone net profit, reaching Rs 36.81 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2023. This growth, compared to Rs 29.68 crore in the same period last year, is attributed to higher revenues and a strong demand for its services.




The company’s total income on a standalone basis rose by nearly 33.53% to Rs 183.11 crore during the quarter, up from Rs 137.12 crore in the corresponding period last year. EBITDA also saw a substantial increase of 20.67%, reaching Rs 50.98 crore in the quarter under review, compared to Rs 42.25 crore in the same period last year.

EMS recently secured a letter of award (LOA) worth Rs 358.56 crore from the Uttarakhand Urban Development Department for the development of a sewerage system and septage management. Additionally, the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a tender valued at Rs 478.93 crore from the Uttarakhand Urban Sector Development Agency for water supply and sewerage system development. It also secured the L1 position in a tender worth Rs 34.69 crore by UP Jal Nigam for the construction of a multi-level parking facility.

For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2023, EMS recorded a standalone net profit growth of 49.87% at Rs 103.59 crore, compared to Rs 69.12 crore in the previous year. Total income increased by 57.80% to Rs 500.31 crore, up from Rs 317.04 crore last year. EBITDA also grew by 46.32% to Rs 144.59 crore, compared to Rs 98.82 crore in the same period last year.

Ramveer Singh, Chairman of EMS Limited, commented on the company’s performance, stating, “The government’s commitment to infrastructure development has been a driving force for our business, particularly in sewerage infrastructure. We are optimistic about significantly increasing our order book with our expertise in executing water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects. Our current cash flow and balance sheet remain healthy to support our growth pipeline.”

Established on December 21, 2010, EMS provides EPC and O&M services in sewerage solutions, water supply systems, and wastewater schemes for government authorities and local bodies. Headquartered in Ghaziabad, the company offers water and sewerage infra solutions, including laying sewerage networks and building treatment plants in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan.
