Midhaven Release Album Artwork and Teaser

Mumbai-based progressive metal band Midhaven has just released a teaser clip for their upcoming debut album ‘Spellbound’, along with a nine-song track list. The teaser reveals the album artwork as well as some sound clips from the new record, which is scheduled to release worldwide by the end of March or early in April.

The artwork has been done by Aakash Dwivedi who has previously worked with bands such as Solar Deity, Albatross, Demonic Resurrection and Sceptre. With inspirations from Greek and Indian mythology, the teaser weaves a tale of immortals on Olympus, of spell-bound societies and rebelling heroes seeking to destroy sun gods. Frontman Karan Kaul commented, “The artwork represents the main story line of the album, mainly the song ‘Fall of Olympus’ to show the death of the Sun-God Apollo. Our ideas were inspired by video games such as God of War and Skyrim. Aakash carried them out brilliantly.”

Midhaven was formed in 2011 and very quickly built a commendable following in the underground scene. In 2013, the band released their debut EP Tales From The Tide to much acclaim from fans. The band has changed their sound to a much heavier and progressive one for the new album. With their recent signing, the album will be available via Universal Music India.
