Startup & Entrepreneurship acquires Bangalore-based mGaadi in undisclosed amount

Travel booking website has acquired Bangalore- based auto-rickshaw aggregator mGaadi in an undisclosed amount. As part of the deal, its employee transportation platform – Cartr and related mGaadi technologies will now be integrated into Yatra’s products.

Vishy, the co-founder of mGaadi, informed through the blog, “In mid-May, after a series of exciting conversations and meetings with Yatra CXOs, the terms of the acquisition were finalised. On June 10, we signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Yatra.”

Founded in 2012, mGaadi is a Bangalore-based commuting service, which is operated by Drivers Network, a social enterprise, and claims to have more than 13,000 drivers as part of its network.

Gurgaon-based has acqui-hired Mumbai-based Travel-logs earlier this year in January. Travel-logs specialises in organising customised city walks and private tours.
